I've seen people with the same item, but with different colors.
How does that work?
The items in Mabinogi's store change colors every day at 12am (game time). Check the store often to see if they are selling your desired color that day. You can also create your own item with your desired color. When you are manufacturing the item, you can choose a finishing material or use the Dye Ampoule, which is an advanced item, to add your finishing touches.
I saw a bunch of people sitting around a campfire.
What's the deal with campfires?
A campfire provides an intimate environment for you and your friends to share stories and chat. Also, when you sit near a campfire, the warmth helps the recovery of your HP and wounds. You can also make food at the campfire and share it with your friends. When you share food, the effects of the food are felt by everyone!
When I connect to the game, on the top it says, 'Today is (day of the week)' along with an effect... what is this? How does that work?
Weekday effect is a phenomenon that affects the Mabinogi world. Depending on the day, different effects occur in the game. You can check what effects happen on which day by looking at the message when you connect to the game.

Weapons, shields, armor, and items you can equip all have adurability level. The durability of an item decreases when equipped. When the durability reaches to 0, the item is no longer useable. When this happens, go to the appropriate shop and repair the item.
Are there any important differences between playing during the day or at night? (Game time)
During the day, you can get part-time jobs throughout the town. At night, your mana recovers faster and you can transport between towns using the Moon Gate. Only in Mabinogi, you can experience the business of working during the day, and the tranquility of fishing under the stars during night.
After I hit the monster, it jumped right back and attacked me.
Is there anyway to continually attack?
Mabinogi's combat system is realistic in that you attack your opponent and knock them down, the opponent has the initial right to attack back. If you're bummed that you can't just continually attack, imagine the opposite... you getting beat up without a chance to fight back. When the right to attack goes to your opponent, you can still strategically win the battle by using the appropriate skills.
How come there isn't much of a difference between armor and clothes?
The variety clothes in Mabinogi is an essential component in expressing your unique personality. Although your clothes can protect you, the protection level is low and you may still receive significant damage on an attack.
However, when you are equiped with armor, you will have a higher protection level which keeps you safer during an enemy's attack.
I heard that I can learn magic skills by taking class... but where can I take classes?
You can learn Magic skills by reading magic books; you can also learn it through the Tir Chonaill Magic School. Once you pay the tuition fee and attend class, the teacher will explain the basics of magic and you will receive the Magic skills. This is much cheaper than learning it through Magic books which cost a fortune. This is one class that you'll be looking forward to!

Why are their names so long?
Mabinogi uses a title system. How it works is, when you meet certain criteria (good or bad) you obtain certain titles. Also, when you use these titles, you receive an character stat bonus. Each title gives different character stat effects, so if used appropriately, it can be useful.
I was talking to an NPC, and they said that they didn't like me.
How do I make the NPC like me again? Are there negative effects if an NPC is not fond of me?
The NPCs in Erinn remember your characters, and will express their feelings of like and dislike towards you. You can give gifts to NPCs, and NPCs that like you will even open specials shops just for you, so try to maintain good relationships with them.
I aged on Saturday. What happens as I get older?
Characters age every Saturday. When characters age, they not only grow in height but their character stats will increase accordingly as well. Experience the joy of watching your character grow from a little child to a full fledged adult.
I got fat while eating. Do you automatically gain weight when you eat?
Food satisfies hunger and also increases necessary character stats. However, if you continue to eat when you are already full, you begin to gain weight. If you don't like being heavy, eat smaller portions, only when you're hungry. This will help you lose and balance the weight. Maintain your character's health just as you would take care of yours.
The owl dropped a present. How do I receive this present?
Owls either deliver quests rewards for completed quests. When you first enter the game, a white owl will deliver a quest to you. When you finish a quest and click on 'Quest Complete', you will meet an owl that tosses you a reward bag. If the reward is an item, it will automatically go into your inventory.
Some of the clothes that users sell have higher EXP than the ones sold in shops. How do I purchase them?
You can tailor your own clothes with the Tailoring skill.
When the finishing touches are made, it will have more EXP than the clothes sold in the shops. But, to make clothes, you need a sewing pattern of the final product, and some of these can't be bought at the shop, therefore becoming rare outfits.
How come some people get more hits with the same weapon as mine?
You can look at the decription of the weapon to see how many times you can strike with one hit. However, if you control it right on Manual Attack mode, you can sneak in one more hit. The slower the weapon, the easier it is to do this. The Two-handed sword for example, let you click attack again right when the character's attack motion is almost over, you can sneak in 2 extra hits.
I went into a dungeon and it says someone else created this dungeon.
What does this mean?
When you place an item on the dungeon altar, your personal dungeon is created. If a friend places the same item to create a dungeon, he or she will get into YOUR dungeon and he or she may not receive the reward. Try placing a unique item in the dungeon so that you will reduce the chances of jumping into someone else's dungeon. That way, you will be able to slay the monsters an earn your reward.
There are too many monsters around me. I don't know which one to attack first.
If you simply attack any monster you see, you may be attacked by a monster nearby who detects your presence. You can tell if a monster is aware of you by the exchamation mark that appears above their head. Don't lose sight of the ones who have an exclamation mark avove them and attack them first.
